The US Solar Industry Installed 1 MW of Solar Every 32 Minutes in Q3 of 2016

Even while some utility companies and government agencies attempt to slow the growth of solar. Many other forward thinking utilities are embracing the solar revolution and contracting for massive solar power plants to reach their own emission targets or simply to save money.  Another way to look at these numbers is to realize that over 4,000 MW of solar came online in just 3 months, providing enough electricity to power 800,000 homes.

Swift Auto Superstore

By | General

Spectrum provided full turnkey design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services. This is for a 125 kW (DC) PV system on the rooftop of Swift Auto in Davis, CA in 2012.  Furthermore, the project included 432 ET Solar-300W modules and a 100 kW SatCon inverter.

Swift Auto was certainly pleased with the system and it’s performance, that they hired Spectrum. This is to install a 2nd system as a carport structure which consequently completed in 2016.  The second system is a 131 kW system consisting of 429 ET Solar-310W modules and 3 Chint Power Systems inverters.  This project also received a full LED lighting retrofit to better showcase Swift Auto’s cars.

“My experience with Spectrum Energy has exceeded my expectations. From working with me to keep the project within my budget, to completing the project on time and everything in between. The entire experience has been first rate. Spectrum provided everything my lender needed for financing and they made all the arrangements with PG&E for the rebates and Interconnection Agreement. They even noticed some pre-existing issues with our roof and addressed them during installation. All of Spectrum’s commitments have been honored, including their forecasted energy and tax savings which we are currently enjoying!”
